Pre-Service + Pre-Service Training

Deciding to join Peace Corps is no small undertaking. There’s an application. [Really, it’s not that bad. They revamped the application process in 2014 cutting down the time from when you apply to when you leave. It’s been additionally updated post-pandemic as well. ]You are required to have references.  There’s an interview. Then a federal background check. And medical and dental exams [My god with the medical exams]. Then there’s waiting. And more waiting. And even more waiting.  Oh and let’s not forget about the packing.  All this before you even join.  Am I forgetting anything?
