Flashback to the Valentine’s snow of 2014. As a SC native, I didn’t have very many snow days as a kid so I more than willing took the opportunity to be the adult playing with the neighborhood kids and do sled races down the golf course hills. I beat the pants of these little ones and remember my core being so sore the next day. It was better than any yoga class I’ve ever attended.

The four nations hockey tournament has engulfed me this week–especially the USA/Canada match today. Because what the hell–who starts  three fights in the first 9 seconds of the match. The USA won, clinching a spot in the finals on February 20–potentially a rematch against Canada. This is way better than any all-star game the NHL could have dreamed up. And while there are very few people in my South Carolina life who share a passion for hockey and winter sports in general, I’m grateful to have found a on-line community to participate in.
